Investigation

Some compare the European funding landscape with a jungle – and justifiably so. More than one hundred support programmes are managed on a European level. 17 different Directorate Generals and their departments are responsible for their publication. The representation of support programmes’ contents-wise and formal requirements, as well as the funding conditions, are varying and rather complex. It is necessary to work through the related documents intensively, in order to determine the actual possibilities for funding. Finally, tenders (“calls for proposal“) are published at rather short notice in relation to the dates of closure.

Ways through the funding jungle

Of course you may dare to enter the woods on your own. Pretty much like in a real jungle, known paths quickly become overgrown. Sometimes it’s useful to engage a scout to explore the best and most secure way. Looking for the suitable support programme, the framework conditions, and perhaps suitable European partners may substantially minimize your frustation factor on the way to EU-funding.

There is no systematic overview for EU-funding.
