Organisation development

What’s this about?  Richard Beckhard, one of the pioneers in this field, describes this term as follows:

“Organization Development is an effort planned, organization-wide, and managed from the top, to increase organization effectiveness and health through planned interventions in the organization's 'processes,' using behavioral-science knowledge.”

(Beckhard, “Organization development: Strategies and Models”, Reading, MA: Addison-Wesley, 1969, p. 9)

Project and organisation have to fit together

Experience shows: In an EU-project, most painful problems occur in the allocation of duties, the communication, and the cooperation within the organisation itself. After all it’s people who do the work!

  • What is it that motivates people to participate in your project?
  • What is their expectation?
  • What support do they need and by whom?

Within your organisation, the constructive cooperation is the basis of your success. Let’s release the handbrake together before you step on the gas.

Optimise structures.
